Tami Vasanthakumaran

Founder & CEO

Tami is a physician, health equity advocate, and Founder & CEO of Meducine, a physician-verified digital health education platform reimagining the future of health literacy. Driven by a mission to make health understanding a fundamental human right, she's building Meducine to make complex medical knowledge more personalized, engaging, and accessible through multilingual, AI-driven education.

Under her leadership, Meducine has been selected into the prestigious Eureka Fellowship, 1 of 10 youth across Canada chosen to bring Meducine to life with support from AstraZeneca and Plan International Canada, and has received international social innovation recognition, first-place wins in global and AI-focused innovation competitions, and national television and print features.

Beyond Meducine, Tami is passionate about youth leadership, health equity, and amplifying underrepresented voices in healthcare. She has facilitated programs reaching hundreds of youth across Canada, served as a technical reviewer for UN-supported global surgical e-learning initiatives, and was recognized as a Toronto Tamil 30 Under 30 honoree.
